Managing Offshore Decommissioning Waste Guidelines

Understanding and appreciating the issues involved with managing the various waste streams from decommissioning evolved, Decom North Sea has coordinated the development of a set of guidelines on the topic.

Experienced consultancy, D3 Consulting Ltd, has lead the development of the content and held a number of workshops involving operators, supply chain consultants and regulators.

The first draft of the guidelines is now ready and open for industry review.

Decom North Sea are seeking views and comments from all involved in the sector and these will be collated, considered and rationalised into a first edition of the guidelines, which be released later this year.

Specifically we invite comments on:

  1. Key aspects not currently included in the draft which should be included with reasoning why
  2. Sections of the guidelines which would benefit from additional depth and elaboration
  3. Case Studies that highlight key experiences, lessons learnt or industry experience that could be referenced as good practice
  4. Any Additional comments

Please use the Comment and Case Study templates provided and respond to pamela.ogilvie@decomnorthsea.com and martin@d3-consulting.com
