Major Contractors - Tiana Walker, Amec Foster Wheeler, Decommissioning Manager
As the Decommissioning Manager for Amec Foster Wheeler, Tiana is responsible for continuing to develop and grow the Amec Foster Wheeler decommissioning business and is currently focusing on developing an efficient execution strategy and a leaner decommissioning model.
Prior to joining Amec Foster Wheeler, Tiana was in the position of Decommissioning Operations Lead in the Brae Decommissioning team at Marathon Oil. Whilst in this role she worked in diverse areas such as subsea infrastructure comparative assessments, ABEX cost modelling, cuttings pile coring and strategic partner identification. Prior to working in decommissioning, Tiana spent over 10 years focused on sustaining and improving production, in both operations and production engineering roles. Tiana came to Marathon Oil with over 10 years of commissioning and instrumentation engineering experience in the small scale power industry and onshore gas plants in Australian, and offshore oil and gas industry in Australia, Ireland and the North Sea working for various tier 1 and tier 2 companies.
She is passionate about getting the right sized solution to the technical challenges associated with decommissioning and advocates `doing the right thing' from an environmental and safety view point. Through personal example she displays a real drive to share knowledge and work with others, and believes that collaborative behaviour through forums such as DNS, are critical to efficient decommissioning of the UKCS basin.
