Decom North Sea Awards 2018

The Decom North Sea Awards is the first industry awards to be dedicated to decommissioning excellence and recognises the efforts of Decom North Sea members to innovate and collaborate within the sector, as well as providing the opportunity to recognise an individual for their specific contribution to the decommissioning sector. 

Winners of the Decom North Sea Awards 2018 were announced at an Awards Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 22 May 2018 (the evening prior to Decom Offshore 2018), at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Over 180 guests attended the dinner to acknowledge the success stories of industry peers. 

The Decom North Sea Awards 2018 was hosted by one of Scotland's best known newsreaders and currently, the main female anchor for STV North, Andrea Brymer. Furthermore, the after dinner speaker was Bjørn-Evert van Eck Rasmussen, Managing Director of Mammoet Norge A/S. Bjørn-Evert providing insight into how Mammoet constructed and installed the safe confinement over the reactor building of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine.
