Decom North Sea – Texo Drone Survey and Inspection (UKCS) Ltd Member Spotlight Event

Decom North Sea Member Spotlight events offer members the opportunity to host an exclusive event to showcase their capabilities, innovative solutions and technologies. These events are held in the Decom North Sea office in Westhill and provide presenters and attendees with the chance to network and engage with key players with an interest in the late life and decommissioning sector.  

These events are free to attend, however booking is essential.

The first of our Member Spotlight Events will be hosted by Texo Drone Survey and Inspection (UKCS) Ltd.

Texo Drone Survey and Inspection (UKCS) Ltd is the dedicated offshore division of Texo DSI, the owner operator of the world’s most dynamic and comprehensive fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles. Texo DSI (UKCS) specialise in precision data capture for engineering and asset lifecycle applications. Since its inception, the company has developed a sector-leading suite of UAV deployed survey and inspection services; bringing to market a number of world-first technologies including:

-               Survey-Grade LiDAR (sub 5mm precision Asset Information Modelling)

-               UT Thickness & spot location testing

-               Optical Gas Imaging (OGI)

-               Hyperspectral (for identification of hazardous materials)

-               UAV heavy lift & sky crane remote supply/drop

These have been deployed in tandem with the company’s other service lines including Close Visual Inspection, Thermographic and Internal UAV inspection. Moreover, Texo DSI is currently developing novel UAV integrated solutions for a number of additional world firsts, including: ACFM & Phased Array (for surface crack detection & weld fatigue). Further details of these will be announced in the New Year. The technical team at Texo DSI will be giving Decom NS members an insight into the advanced capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles for deployment on decommissioning projects – highlighting their benefits at all stages of the project.
