The Supply Chain Engagement event will include presentations from two main Operators, each exploring their experiences in decommissioning and the lessons learnt, in the hope of encouraging innovativeness and collaboration within the supply chain.
Decom North Sea knows it is imperative that those who need to understand the decommissioning market are equipped with the knowledge and tools with which to make the most of an industry whose UK spend alone is forecast at an estimated £17.6 billion over the next decade (Oil & Gas UK Decommissioning Insight Report 2016).
This is a significant commercial opportunity for the supply chain, in particular those companies offering cost-efficient solutions which could help restore competitiveness to the basin.
The event will include the following presentations:
Total E&P UK Ltd
Total E&P UK Ltd will give an update on where the company is with decommissioning planning in the UK. This will include some of the challenges anticipated and our aspirations for meeting these with the support of the supply chain. There will also be information on doing business with Total.
Shell UK Limited
The presentation includes a high - level overview of Shell’s decommissioning portfolio in the Central North Sea, with projected timings and scope, focusing on the elements of the scopes that can be bundled, rather than taking a traditional ‘asset by asset’ approach. Shell will share lessons learned from recent decommissioning market engagements, and encourage the supply chain to consider innovative approaches that can capitalise on a ’portfolio approach’ , supporting the drive for cost savings, process efficiencies, and new ways of working.
This session will offer the opportunity for attendees to maximise their networking with key players from across the decommissioning sector and Decom North Sea will continue to connect capability with opportunity by organising the popular facilitated introductions for our member companies.
