Repsol hands in decommissioning plan for North Sea field

Spanish oil firm Repsol has handed in a draft decommissioning plan for the Rev field in the Norwegian North Sea.

Gas from Rev is carried to Chrysaor’s Armada platform, in the UK North Sea, via a 5.5mile long pipeline, where it is processed.

The decommissioning plan, submitted today to the UK energy department, covers the three mile long pipeline and an umbilical that run from a point 650ft east of Armada to the border between the UK and Norwegian continental shelves.
