Technical Services, Technology & Equipment Providers – Tim Eley, LBO – Linjebygg Offshore, Business Developer
Tim, Aberdeen based Business Developer for Linjebygg Offshore - LBO for short, is a BSc Hons. graduate in Geography /Geology from the University of Strathclyde. Tim has over 30 years of experience in the international oil & gas sector. Working initially with some of the leading oilfield service companies, Gearhart, Halliburton, Salvesen, BJ, Baker, and Transocean & Schlumberger. Not surprisingly, Tim has one of the best networks in town, covering a variety of sectors over the years, such as Well Logging, MWD, Well Services, Subsea trenching, ploughing and pipe lay and Offshore Wind. However, it is Tim's role as Business Developer for Linjebygg Offshore - LBO that brings him to Decom North Sea. LBO is a leading supplier of decommissioning services and has an impressive track record, especially with "Piece Small" type decommissioning activities. LBO core skill sets and experience are based around innovative engineering, coupled with special rigging, lifting and cross hauling activities, particularly in areas that are often difficult to access with limited crane coverage. LBO has also applied advanced engineering to develop tools and techniques for "splash zone «operations where divers and ROV equipment find it difficult to operate. As a natural business developer and networker, Tim hopes to be of value to the Decom North Sea Board in facilitating co-operation, innovation & collaboration between, oil operators, leading service companies and Government, which will be increasingly important to forthcoming decommissioning projects across the whole North Sea supply chain.
