We are looking for a Projects and Services Manager to join the Decom North Sea leadership team.
The Projects and Services Manager will oversee the organisation’s technical delivery including overall technical capability and governance, internal and external technical project management, digital platform maintenance and technical interfaces, and overall technical and business support services.
In line with Decom North Sea business development strategy, membership imperatives and industry and regulatory requirements, work with the Business Development Director to identify, prioritise and secure funding and resources for the organisation’s technical project portfolio.
Manage the organisation’s technical project portfolio, delivering high quality products on time and within budget. Oversee partner and stakeholder relationships, subcontractor engagement and contract management.
Manage and develop the organisation’s web-based membership services and associated IT platforms, data and document control, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Act as primary interface with the Decommissioning Leadership Group (DLG) and, as focal point for DLG Special Industry Work Groups, co-chair the project execution process, driving delivery on project charters and management plans.
Oversee the range of technical and office services supporting DNS’s business delivery and continuity.
Requirements and Experience
Proven track record of success in integrated multidisciplinary project management and delivery, acting in the capacity of an integration manager (PMO), not a project manager.
Up to date understanding of- and practical capability in digital knowledge sharing platforms and associated IT systems
Strong competency in managing relationships with a diverse suite of stakeholders
Strategic thinker able to identify new business opportunities, with the tenacity to realise these opportunities under uncertain conditions
Confident, driven and dynamic integrator able to assume personal accountability but also to act in support of others’ accountabilities within a small, diverse team
Results-driven, equally comfortable and experienced at working strategically up to board level or operationally at hands-on level to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Flexible; able to work out of hours and to travel occasionally within/outwith the UK when required
Education & Knowledge:
Degree level qualification in an appropriate discipline
10 years+ experience
Experience in the Oil and Gas sector with exposure in some capacity to decommissioning
Experience as a Project Management Officer (PMO)
Experience in managing IT platforms and applications
Experience in contract management
