Baillex undertakes fundamental research of key data and information across the offshore oilfield services (OFS) sector. Collating, cross-checking, evaluating and assessing public and published data from multiple governmental and commercial sources. Baillex then applies a unique and proprietary assessment process, OFS Reality©, to develop practical market data and information. OFS Reality© has been designed to produce cost-effective outputs tailored to the contractor and service supply chain and utilises a combination of techno-economic and supply/demand assessment, statistical data analysis and an experience-based practical overview.
Baillex was founded in 2017 and is led by Founding Director, Kate Rowley. Kate has over eight years practical experience of conducting fundamental data research and assessment within the offshore OFS sector, having previously worked for Infield Systems (Wood Mackenzie) and Douglas-Westwood (Westwood Global Energy Group). She is the Architect of Infield’s renowned Specialist Vessel Database and her expertise has previously been recognised and showcased within industry media, including Upstream. Her data & assessments have provided key inputs into executive reports and market models for major OFS players and operators, including Subsea 7, TechnipFMC, Shell and Statoil, amongst others.
